Meebo Evaluation
Brief Description
Meebo, a web broswer-based rich internet application (RIA) serves as a real-time communication tool using the "instant message" paradigm. A series of evaluations using different user centered methodologies were used to evaluate Meebo in order to assess and prioritize usability issues in the application.

Methods Used
Heuristic evaluation was conducted to evaluate the Meebo interface. Cognitive walkthrough was conducted for the log-in and registration processes. From the results of these studies, several objectives were created for usability testing. Finally, a comparison test was conducted between two different interface designs that could potentially be used to enhance the Meebo application’s “sign off and sign in process”.
